So most of the day was spent working on videos and social media marketing but we did get the opportunity to get out to the Downtown Deland Drum circle sponsored by the Jammin Shop and The Collective (a misfit faith community). A very nice group of people came out and we jammed out around the fire until it started to drizzle and then inside the collective itself. We had some hot rhythms trading licks between everyone and it was a tight circle right down to the endings and all of us stopping together. Have to thank Marty and Dale for hosing along with Whalen (not sure on the spelling) I kind of like the idea of Misfit Faith Community, reminds me of the Island of Misfit Toys which was always one of my favorites.
Well ta ta for now I guess
Check back in a bit.

Started working on New Late Night Mythology episodes, going to include the Norse Pantheon along with the Celts and Greek/Roman pantheons.
Getting some new Twitter followers which is cool and we have some new friends in Eastern Europe as well using the VK social media site.
So many things to do and to choose to do it is overwhelming at times but it seems the only way to figure stuff out is to jump right in and give it a shot and adjust things as you go.
Certainly no expert on Social Media Marketing but some things make more sense then others and we go with those things. LOL
What is your take on Social Media Marketing. Would love to hear about it.

Wow this blogging this is more difficult then I thought it would be, you would think it would be easy to just throw some things up on the board and be like where are all my followers but I have come to the realization that it just doesn't work that way. I guess a bit of hard work is truly what it will take to move the blogger thing from out of the basement and into the light of day.
I guess it is time to come up with interesting things to write about.
oh and check out our website

So we are moving things along, the videos are getting published and we are getting some good feedback from our friends and followers.
But this brings us to an issue that the internet seems to be just regurgitating the same information over and over again.
What is a good way to expand and get beyond just our current facebook friends so that our brand can see the light of day.
I know we could spam the shit out of things but that is not the taste I want to leave in peoples mouths, I want them to give us the chance by our original content that we are putting together, I want them to come to the website and say hey you guys have some pretty cool stuff here and I want to buy some of it.
Any ideas on moving that ball forward?
Love to hear from someone on that.
thanks

Well we are two weeks into being live and it is a learning experience as so often is the case with new projects. Some of the channels fell right into place, I never realized the intricate nature of social marketing and though it is still new I can see already that the main thing is to find away into new social circles.
Anybody got any ideas on how to expand a brand into new circles so others can find out about it?
I have also noticed a need for patience in that you want to throw all these new things at the small amount of subscribers you have but you can't or you will just push them away, its kind of like fishing in that you have to lure people slowly and hope that you effect enough change in that person that thye tell two friends and so on.
This is however a great time to learn the ropes and that is pretty much what we are trying to do.

Hey Ya’ll! So, as I was having lunch with my cousin, she
expressed that she was a little confused about all the projects Jesse and I are
working on. Upon reflection, I can see how that could be very true, and if she
found it confusing, then we figured that this may be the case with other people
as well…. Soooo, here we go:
Tribal Soup Project is a Multi Media Brand dealing in Music,
Video, Books, and specific merchandise that reflect the free spirit of an
artist’s lifestyle: Graphic Design, Tie Dye T-shirts, hand wrapped jewelry
pieces, and hairwraps, along with creating music. We are available to perform, give workshops
on drumming (as well as private instruction), and will begin vending at various
festivals.
The easiest way to see what we are all about is our website
which I will link below…. There you will be able to order our wares (Tie dyes,
bell belts, ect.) and our new CD, “Path of a Girl.” (The CD is actually based
on my life story, hence the name.) To view these things, go to our website and
click the official merchandise button.
Our website also lists several different youtube channels
which we have created and are taking great pleasure in filming. I will list
each “show” below, and give a brief explanation of what they are about. To view
them, simply go to our website, and click the appropriate button. If you find
them interesting and would like to see more, click the youtube subscribe button
(And like us, too, please! ;) ). This will keep you up to date with episodes
and will also help us out.
Additionally, please feel free to share any of our videos
and memes. It means a lot to us…. Anyways… we’re having a ton of fun doing
this, and we hope that you guys enjoy some of it, too! Much love to
everyone!!!!!!

djembe and for doumbek. (The first episodes debut this Friday, with new
episodes each Friday thereafter)
Creative Corner: Creative Corner hopes to broaden your
horizons while expressing that you can, indeed, do anything you put your mind
to. These are tutorial videos which teach everything from tie dying to making
jewelry. (The first episode debuts this coming Saturday, and will continue to
be uploaded each Saturday thereafter.)

Wow this is a really exciting week, so much going on, with TSP coming to life and posting videos, and learning about marketing in social media, and the different platforms, it is all quite mind numbing sometimes, though it is an excellent learning experience to often you just stick your finger in and what you learn doesn't stick with you and six months later you try and do it again and you have to relearn it all over again, but this is full immersion, like through in the lake learn how to swim stuff. I am sure there will be some stumbles along the way but I also believe we will find the proper mix to be successful at it.
